I can hear 'em in the walls, I can hear 'em in the ground.
From the ceiling fan comes a sickening sound:
Conglomeration of a thousand skittering legs.
…Or maybe the bugs are in my head?
Something died in the wall; I can totally tell.
Everybody comes and comments on the sickening smell.
Tore the wall down to see what was stinking up the place.
Found a corpse and it had my face.
My apartment.
Insects all over my skin!
I can feel 'em crawling in.
Insects inside my veins!
I can hear their tiny screams.
Insects all over my skin!
I can feel 'em crawling in.
Insects inside my veins...
Cut 'em out with razor blades!
Someone's trying to break his way into my home;
Hear him knock, knock, knocking on the door when I'm alone.
Suddenly he's pounding and he busts it in.
See his face and it's me again.
My apartment.
I opened the window to get some fresh air
And I fell out onto the street,
And then I went up the stairs to my apartment and fell out again,
And I crawled up the stairs to my apartment and fell out again,
And I crawled up the stairs to my apartment and jumped out again,
And everyone was watching
But they didn't do anything.
They just watched…
Watch me die.
This album fucks as hard as dripping and magic but imo feels the most personal and emotional release of the three. It’s weird and frantic but hits
this really interesting balance.
